“Hako”, translated from Japanese, means “Box”. Inspired by polaroid pictures, the Hako Tee series cleanly captures a moment in time and space within four sides housing embroidered line work. The Kinkaku Ji design is based off the view from garden leading up to the gold clad tea house, denoted geography on the left sleeve.
